It's been weeks and the app keeps crashing. It is very frustrating try to post something or even scrolling in the community tab. When are you going to fix this ?

Hi there @carlo_lozada, nice to see you have joined the Fitbit Community! I was reading your Fitbit app is crashing, is this more frequent with the Community tab or is limited only to this section?

I've seen this behavior on the iOS app, however the majority of Android users who have reported this issue are because the app is outdated. In your case I'm not sure, but I can guarantee you have the latest version already so perhaps the following steps might be of your help.

Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

See you around and hope this helps.

Hi Roberto, this solution woks partially. Clear cache and app data works for some time but after few days the problem persists. I keep doing the procedure over and over.

Hello there @carlo_lozada, my apologies for the late response and thank you for letting me know the solution only works partially as you have to do this over and over. I'm wondering how ti goes so far?

Not sure if you have tried already this, but perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling the app will address the issue. Usually when the app is crashing, is because there are instabilities in relation to the phone OS.

My theory would be to make sure to install the app in the internal storage of the phone. Having the app in the external storage may caused this issues in occasions.

The other assumption, can be related if the phone is not listed as compatible. Keep in mind this is not an statement that the app won't work if the phone is not compatible, but due to the app is not optimized it may present these behaviors.

Regardless of this, I will forward your comments to our teams in order to investigate further.

See you around!
