I have a Samsung S8 with Android version 9. I have auto update turned on and all my apps update just fine. All but my Fitbit app. For the last couple of months, if I want the latest update, I have to manually go to the Play Store and look to see if there is an update. I have no issues updating when I do this but I shouldn't have to do this.
Any suggestions?

Hi @Dragainin. Welcome to the Forums.
Thanks for sharing your phone's details, and letting me know that the Fitbit app isn't updating automatically. May I know if this is happening with other apps on your phone? I'm asking this as the apps on your phone will update by itself depending on your phone's settings. You can try rebooting your phone to refresh your phone's performance, but if the issue persists I'd suggest to contact Play Store directly so you can receive more details about this matter.

As I stated in the second sentence of my post: I have auto update turned on and all my apps update just fine. All but my Fitbit app.
My phone has been rebooted several times since this started happening.
I contacted Fitbit because Fitbit is the only app that is having this issue. I guess I'll contact Play Store who, I suspect, will refer me back to you.

Hi @Dragainin. It's great to see you back and I'm sorry for the delayed response.
Thanks for getting back confirming the requested information, as well for trying the steps suggested above. Please try contacting Play Store to see if they have more details or information about why you're not being able to get the Fitbit app updated automatically. And, feel free to reply back if you continue having this issue.
