Fitbit app not loading in Android phone

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Icon still on phone.  Says it is still installed.  However only a white screen comes up both when I click on the icon or going through the app to open.  Then it is often difficult to escape from the white screen back to the phone.  Any suggestions?

Hello @fireli, It's nice to see you again in the Fitbit Community. Certainly this is the first time I heard a behavior like this. I'm wondering if the app crash after the white screen or is your whole phone unresponsive?

You can try the steps suggested on my reply from this post. Also make sure to review if your phone is compatible. To see the latest list of supported devices, please go to http://www.fitbit.com/devices.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

Hi,

It's not one off.  I have the exact same thing. White screen comes up and freezes when accessing app  on my phone.  Fitbit works fine just can't access the app.  Only had it about 3 weeks and they both worked fine for 2 weeks.  Last week every time I go to sync  with the app I hit logo and get white screen. If I uninstall and install it will work and can access app but once i Go out of the app and try to go back in later I get the white screen?

Thanks

My phone, a Galaxy 5, is fine.  The thing is, the app doesn't appear in my app list at all but the download did activate the device. Data will appear on it but again, the app doesn't appear on my phone thus, there is no white screen.     Fitbit did try to contact me on Facebook but I'm hopeless and can't find the message.

I think it has something to do with updating overnight. I have un-installed the app and reinstalled it and it all works fine UNTIL the next morning when it happens all over again. I have done this now several days and the app works fine all day, every time I check it. But every morning it is back to the white screen and I have to un-install and reinstall. All the information updates each time so I am not losing any info but it is really frustrating.

I've deleted and rolled back to Fitbit 2.47.apk and got the old linear dashboard back too hooray. Hate the new dashboard.

Hi there!

How do you "roll back" your app?  My LG X Power worked great until a recent set of upgrades and now it is no longer compatible with the new app.  I can't get my blaze to read the proper time now....

Thanks!

Joe

Simply googled fitbit 2.47.apk downloaded it onto phone, uninstalled the troublesome app then installed the older version. The latest version version is a lame old dog.

Hello @Ajv14@Amalfi welcome to the Fitbit Community. Also It's nice to see you again @tony62@Bigbadjoe108 and @fireli.

Note this is a glitch affecting the Fitbit app. We are actively investigating this issue, however we do not support to download APK files to downgrade the Fitbit app version, specially since it may present issues at the moment to sync and you are downloading the app from unknown sources that may harm your phones. For this reason I do not recommend to do this as we do not guarantee the behavior of the app on this instance.

If I got more updates, be sure I will be posting here.
