The apps being mandatory for the watch to function is problematic

My phone is too old for the apps, making it not longer able to sync with the fitbit watch. The app is mandatory if I want my watch to be at the correct time. I should not have to buy a new phone in order to tell the time.

@Hell-0   Fitbit drops phone models when they no longer receive support from their manufacturer.  Your phone might face security issues because of its age.  That might be a reason to get a new phone.
