I just got a 20gb data warning on my Google pixel 8 pro and when I checked the see what could be possibly using all of this data, the fitbit app has used over 12 gigabytes of data in just the past couple weeks!! What on earth is fitbit doing here?? Is it running some kind of massive secret Spyware ?? 12 GIGABYTES !!! Most data plans don't even have this much data usage available total and the fitbit app is just chugging through it relentlessly somehow. I can't see that it should be using ANY data to be frank. I'm using it ONLY to sync my fitbit charge 6 locally. Why on earth would it need to transmit 12 gigabytes of data over the internet ?!?!?!??

I just had a look at my fitbit data usage out of interest to compare to your usage. In the month from Feb 9 to March 9 Fitbit has used 707 MB of data. So a lot less that yours.
I have no explanation of why yours would be so different to mine but thought a comparison may be useful.

@DrewZero I moved your post to the Android app forum, a better fit for this issue.
