I have Huawei P30 Pro which is currently using Android. I have read that the phone will soon be updated to use Huawei's new Harmony OS which will not be Android/Google. Will Fitbit still work considering Google now own Fitbit?

@SunsetRunner I read about the Harmony OS. One source I read says it is based on the Android 10 source code. But here is my concern. Android phones get their Fitbit app from the Google Play Store. If the Harmony OS has it own apps, then I think the answer is no. What will happen to all of your apps when you switch over? Will you still have access to the Google Play Store? You should find out before you update.
This question isn't limited to the Sense. I am moving this thread to the Android forum. I think it is a better fit. I'm sure other Huawei phone owners have questions.

Hello @SunsetRunner. It's great to see you around!
Thank you for the information and for taking the time to ask about compatibility. I'd like to let you know that the Fitbit App currently works with any mobile device that meets the requirements in this link: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/compatible-devices.
You can also get more details here: What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone?
Hope this helps.

@SunsetRunner I am an iPhone user. When I get an OS update, I get a notification, but update manually. Can you control an OS update on Android?

@SunsetRunner Don't toss that phone just yet. Another article said that Harmony will support Android apps. Maybe your current Fitbit app will stay. Can you imagine the outrage if users updated their phones and found out that none of their apps work?
A post on reddit seemed to say that Harmony OS will be dedicated to the Chinese market during early launch.
