Fitbit has synced with phone but can't see anything

I set up Fitbit Blaze last nite, switched on, charged it up, it paired with my phone but that's it. I don't get battery icon when it's charging, I have swiped screen, nothing happens, all I have is Fitbit icon on screen and nothing, can anyone help before I take it back to shop

Note: replied to Alfie in another thread and the Blaze was returned and exchanged for a ChargeHR.
