What do you sync to (computer / phone)?
What model of fitbit do you have?
Try restarting the computer or phone and then restart your fitbit using this procedure:
http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/How-do-I-restart-my-tracker/
Note that this doesn't always work first time so it may need a couple of tries.

I noticed @SteveH provided you with some suggestion to help you resolve your issue. I'd like to add that you can also follow the steps provided at I can't sync my tracker to make sure your tracker syncs with your computer or mobile device.
