Despite successful syncing, my fitbit Alta is not showing the correct network time in Amman Jordan.
It is still showing UK time 2 hours behind.

Check that your timezone is set correctly in your profile at https://www.fitbit.com/settings/profile
If you do need to change it, the next time you sync your fitbit will be updated
