So my wife and I are having the same issue again with our fit bits not syncing anyone else having this problem, and is there a fix

I have same current problem .my Blaze wont sync .I think it relates to the Android update I did recently to 8.1 .

I spent close to an hour yesterday online with customer support; uninstalled and re-installed the app, re-charged the fitbit, and set it up as a new device, all is syncing again.
