Welcome to the Forums @Stevie.c.

Thanks for letting us know that your Fitbit won't sync even with the app installed.

In this case I'd like to ask you some questions:

  • What Fitbit do you have? Since when?
  • What phone are you using to sync?
  • Were you able to sync in the past or are you a new user?

In the meantime I'd recommend that you try following the steps in this article

Look forward to your reply.

Hello @Stevie.c.

Thanks for that clarification.

This might be happening because the Galaxy J5 is not currently on the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone and thus some issues might happen.

There is chance that it can work as long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, however we cannot guarantee that it will. Some users that do not have have supported phones have mentioned that following these steps has helped them, maybe you could give it a shot.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi I've tried the  solutions suggested but none seem to work so I guess it must be the phone thanks anyway.

Hello @Stevie.c.

You're welcome.

Do you have access to a computer or a phone that is listed there? You could use another device to sync and get all of the data on your Dashboard. If you do have a computer, be sure to try the steps in here to setup your Fitbit.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
