This is happening to me also. I finish my walk. My One has tracked my walk perfectly and I can see the map on the Android App. I leave the App. It is at that point that the walk 'disappears'. I am running App version 2.46 on Galaxy S7 Edge.
The only way I've found to get round it is to jot down the details before exiting the App and by adding them manually.
This looks like a bug in the App.
Best AnswerYes, I use the app. After completing my run I click the hold and finish button. The map and stats show up but as soon as I leave that page the run disappears and sometimes the app force closes.
Best AnswerI do not know what to do in your case. So, chat with a professional and request help from them. If you find an answer, then please post it here
Best AnswerI took a year off and have recently resumed using my Fitbit One. I've noticed this as well. In the past, it wasn't a problem. The one thing that seems to work is to hit the share button - after that, it seems to hang onto it. It shouldn't be doing that. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Android app without any change.

Many are reporting this issue in the other Forums, Android using Exercise, Tracking (MobileRun).
So far, the main reported issue and work around is.. and you can do these tests provided you have at least 1 minute of elapsed time.
Start your exercise and don't use Pause and Continue then Pause and Finish. That appears to be causing the problem. If you do you may get a display on the phone saying "Fitbit Tracker has stopped".. You won't get a synced map.
Just try starting your exercise and only tap the pause at the end and hold Finish.. That is working in most cases.
Fitbit are asking for users to report their issues stating the phone type, version of Android and the App version.
I have proved that App V2.47 doesn't fix the problem. Here are some simple tracks to prove the issue. All of my Pause, Resume (continue) and Finish failed. These three were just Start, Pause at the end and Finish, then sync. You will notice on the screen of the map that pace is 0:00
I tried all types of exercise because there is another thread saying if Walk fails use Run..
Colin,
I only ever tap the pause at the end of my walk and hold finish. The map of my walk shows but then mysteriously disappears. This problem occurs approx. 50% of the time. The same happens when I select run instead of walk. So the suggested work around isn't effective for everyone.
App version 2.47 Android version 7.0 on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Best AnswerAs mentioned, I had already tried a number of the fixes. I've been on with support folks today and they are replacing my tracker as it's still under warranty.

@HemeliteYour symptoms are what the mods are wanting because across the range of phones we are still getting your issues when you use the workaround. The mods have your information which will help them collect stats on phones and Android version
We know they are working on it, but in my case the work around works.

@WendyBI'm noticing we are seeing more posts in the non HR model trackers.. Could you move this topic into the Android App section. Then the moderators can get more information and those users here, that haven't already given their hardware details can edit their posts and include
Mobile Phone Brand and Model
Android Release Version
Android App Version
If it's not an Android the IOS etc.. and that can be dealt with appropriately as well.
Thanks again..on a cold wet Autumn day here.

Best AnswerFitbit sent me a new tracker and I still have the problem. I'm assuming it's the app that's the problem and am working with Fitbit folks to find a solution. To confirm that, I will download the app to my husband's android and see what happens then.

@Cosmiccrone Many of us are testing and posting information for Fitbit. We have proven there is an issue with Exercise Tracking via the App. Fitbit need to know..
Phone model
Android Version
App Version
and if you had one or both of these issues.
Firstly, if you are mapping/tracking an exercise.. if you only pause and then hold Finish (no resumes) it saves the data for most of the users. Some experience the loss of data.
Secondly, if you pause and resume then pause and finish most of us lose the tracking.
You can do these tests with a minimum of 1 minute and you will probably get a display similar to "Are you teasing me"..
Last night I proved App V2.48 doesn't address the pause and resume problem.

Best AnswerYes, it does have that capacity. I used it for a long time with my Samsung Galaxy S3, lost my Fitbit and used other apps for awhile. When I found my Fitbit a year and a half later, I downloaded the app to my S5. Once in awhile it will record a very short walk (under 1 km) but otherwise, it looks like it's tracking my walks. At the end, though, it shows up as 0.0 pace and then won't save.
Best AnswerI also have that problem, but I have the alta. The only pattern I think I'm noticing is if I pause the run at all, then it does not save. If I don't pause (except to finish), so far it's saved the run.
Best AnswerAs several have pointed out, if your using the app, your not using the tracker to rexord your run.
