Tracker: Fitbit Ionic with 27.32.10.20
Phone: OnePlus 5 with Android 8.1.0, Fitbit app version latest (Oct 4, 2018)
Bought the Fitbit Ionic some days ago, for the first couple of days everything worked fine. Then the sync just stopped working. I have re-installed the app, re-paired the tracker a couple of times and the sync only works once just after re-pairing.
And the "Fitbit Sync Service" notification is just a lie: on the notification it says that sync is complete with the current time, but when I go and check on the actual paired device information screen, it reports both on the "Last synced" and "Sync" subsection the time right after pairing the device.
Does this tracker and the app even work?

Alright, tried to install the sync app on Windows and it turns out that I can setup Ionic only on mobile. What is this device?
