I have just got a new phone and am having difficulty pairing it to my versa’s bluetooth. It wont show up when I am trying to search for it but my old blaze is showing up.

This might be happening because the P20 Pro is not currently in our supported devices list. This means that there might be some issues like that one that you are experiencing.
I would like to mention that there are some users who can sync with non-compatible devices after trying the steps on this help article. If your phone meets the minimum requirements Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0 there is a possibility that it can sync, but we cannot guarantee it.

Hi,
I'm also having trouble using the Fitbit versa with Huawei p20.
The versa pairs/links with the phone fine in terms of account and apps etc but I'm not receiving any texts or call notifications on the versa.
Have I set it up incorrectly or is there anything else I need to to e.g download an app?

Like I mentioned above, it might be related to the fact that the P20 Pro is not currently on the supported devices list.

I've found that the only way for notifications to work is by keeping the app open in the app drawer. Soon as i close it, notifications stop. Soon as I re-open the app, sync it to my versa and then leave it open in the background it's ok. Very odd, I believe it's because all day sync doesn't work even though it's on. That could definitely be it. It could be happening because the phone is not on the list and thus All-Day Sync can't establish a connection with the Fitbit at all times.
