Floors climbed when flying using Google Pixel Watch?

Hi there, posting here as I don't think there is a Pixel Watch forum.

I'm a pilot - will the barometer measure floor count as we climb? I hope not!

@Norab123 No, it won't. If you're not taking steps, it knows that you aren't walking on stairs. I live at an altitude of 7200 feet. I frequently drive down to about 4000 feet. My Fitbit never counts floors on that drive either.

@Norab123 Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out regarding the floor tracking with your Google Pixel Watch. 

 

The floor detection is a combination of movement and change of altitude. Therefore floors will not be added as you fly. Here you find a detailed explanation of this feature: How does my Fitbit device count floors climbed?
