I just got my new Fitbit charge 6. My parents added me as a friend, but I am unable to see either of their profiles. WHY. The whole reason I got this Fitbit was to literally connect with my parents. It says “step count not available” and when I click on their profile, says “profile not available yet”. I tried contacting customer service and NOTHING. Please help.

Hello @Logansmom
If your parents migrate their Fitbit accounts to Google, they shouldn't lose their data. I migrated my account to Google in September without any issues & all my data was intact.
Like you experienced, your parents would lose connection with any other family member or Fitbit friend who hasn't migrated to Google. I'm not sure what other ramifications they might experience if they migrated. One of the biggest factors is that once a user migrates their account to Google, there's no way to go back to logging in with a Fitbit account.
Something to keep in mind is that a Google account will be required for all Fitbit users by sometime in 2025.

Hi @Logansmom - to setup a Charge 6 you have to use a Google account and other people not using a Google account aren't available.
Switching them to a Google account is one option but that may have ramifications for them and you can't go back, so be careful.
if you are unhappy with the purchase Fitbit have a 45 day refund policy or possibly authorised dealers too, some stores provide 14 to 30 day refunds.

Thank you for your answer. Do you know what the ramifications would be? Do they lose data?
