Friends show "No recent activity" for challenges

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I go to add friends to a new challenge, my entire friends list shows up (active and inactive) and EVERYONE is listed as "No recent activity" - every single person.

Other app views (friends) shows the active users in my friends list with their step count.

It is making it REALLY hard to invite the right people to challenges.

Is this an acknowledged bug, fitbit?Screenshot_20191125-115552_Fitbit.jpg

Hi @n1njade. Welcome! It's nice to see a new face around.

Thanks for letting me know the message displayed for all your friends, as well for taking the time to share a screenshot of the issue. Our team is aware that some of our members aren't able to see their active friends in the list when starting a challenge and they're currently working hard to bring a solution as fast as possible. While there isn't a time frame, please make sure to keep the Fitbit app up-to date. I understand how difficult is for you to invite your friends to your challenges and be sure that your feedback won't go unnoticed.

Hi @wwleader. Welcome to the forums.

Thanks for sharing that you're also experiencing this behavior. As you may know, Fitbit is aware about this situation experienced by some of our members and they're currently working on this to identify a solution as soon as possible. Be sure that every comment posted in the forums never goes unnoticed as it helps us to evaluate our procedures and improving our products. Once I have more details, I'll update this thread.

Lizzy, it's been several years now since this problem with "no recent activity" has appeared. I'm still angry and frustrated that FitBit won't fix it. Can't you guys nudge the development team? All they have to do is turn back on the switch that they broke. If we can still see the rankings of our friends steps under the community tab, it means that the database is still there - you guys just need to reconnect it to the challenges section of the app. Easy Peasy, right? So get it done. Again, it's been YEARS! YEARS! since this feature worked properly!
