Fundamental ERROR in new Sleep Stages Feature

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Attention App Developer Team: First, I love my fitbit blaze and the android app! Thank you!

The new sleep stages feature is really cool, however I am fairly certain there is a Fundamental ERROR. The sleep stages are out of sequence. REM stage DOES NOT occur after Awake or before Light sleep. REM occurs AFTER Deep sleep. One does not move from between Light and REM.

Please analyse various users data patterns and you will see the issue.

Please have trained Sleep doctors/professionals review and verify the validity of the programming.

Hello @dukebludvl, let me start by giving you a warm welcome. Also I want to thank you for bring your concerns and feedback about sleep stages to my attention.

Indeed, the phase of REM sleep typically occurs after you’ve had an initial stage of deep sleep. During this final stage of sleep, your brain becomes more active.

I'm wondering if you have experienced this issue with your sleep stages? If you have, would you mind to share some screenshots to investigate further?

In the meantime the following article will provide you more details: What should I know about sleep stages?

Also feel free to visit  our post for Questions about the new website sleep page at fitbit.com/sleep.

Thank you again, and keep me posted for anything else!
