GPS Exercise Tracker giving incorrect distance

Hey!

So i have been using the fitbit alta hr, and i love it, but i have been having issues with the GPS tracker in the app. It used to track distances properly for me, but recently has been giving me issues.

I have already reset my fitbit multiple times, as well as have bluetooth and a good GPS signal when i start tracking my walks. Recently after a walk i will go back and look at the distance and the map of where it tracked me and it doesn't have the red marker all the way to the distance i traveled, it is about half. I am aware of what the distances are supposed to be since i frequent this path often. Any tips would be great!

Welcome to the Forums @sammymac5!

Thanks for sharing everything that you have already checked for and tried.

You mentioned that you have a good reception when you start the walk, but it could be that there are some spotty locations while you are walking. If there are lots of trees, buildings or even water, that could interfere with the GPS signal and cause it to have accuracy issues. Do you know if the reception is good during the whole path?

Let me know if you have any further questions.
