GPS accuracy

I use my Samsung health app and my Fitbit at the same time and the Samsung app logs my pace and distance 100% accurate and maps my run exactly as i run it. The Fitbit, on the other hand, does none of it accurately and the map looks like my kids etch-a-sketch! Its shows the GPS as on and its displaying the same map as my Samsung health app, so why the inaccuracy? What do I need to do to fix this? There is nothing on the Help screen that works so don't refer me back to it!!

Hi @glide692000, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Samsung mobile device are you using and which Fitbit as well? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device? and What can I do if my step count seems inaccurate? in the meantime I receive your answers.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

This was a Christmas gift and it has done this from the very beginning. My current opinion of the Fitbit Charge 3 is that it is a **ahem**! Making a lot of money off a product that does not work properly or as well as it is supposed to. This should be an easy tech fix, so fix it Fitbit!!

I have been having the same issue for a long time now with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and before that with my iPhone 7+. I track using 3 apps (Fitbit, Runkeeper, and MapMyRun). The other two are accurate and Fitbit is consistently 20-25% over on the distance. I put my Fitbit One through the washer but just use the app now (no difference in the issue).  Fitbit Support was of NO HELP indicating I have to buy a new device before they can figure out the problem. None of the topics online answer the issue either and just run you around in a circle (so please refrain from giving me links!). The problem is clearly with the app, regardless of the device.  I will not pay for another Fitbit until the accuracy issue can be resolved. Clearly I am not the only one with this problem. Sad as I have been a Fitbit user since the beginning and they have now lost me as a customer.  If anyone can figure this out, help would be appreciated.
