GPS distance discrepancy with MobileRun and Versa

Hello,

I have been tracking my runs using the mobile Fitbit app but decided to start tracking the run using my Fitbit versa watch yesterday for the first time using the shortcut in the exercise section. I had my cellphone on me so that the watch would be using GPS to track the distance. I ran the exact some course that I always run and I noticed that the fitbit versa watch distance tracked was about 0.4 miles short from what the mobile Fitbit app would track for a 5k run. During the entire run I had my cell phone on me with GPS running. I have read forums about the fitbit tracker vs other apps but it seems the fitbit data is disagreeing with itself. My stride has been calculated using GPS. If Fitbit is not able to accurately track distance than what is the point of the product? Any help to resolve this would be great. Thanks.

Hi @Lo_Lorick, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that you're experiencing such discrepancies with your Versa 2 and MobileRun. To better assist you, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? Which mobile device are you using? Only distance seems inaccurate or other stats too? If you haven't already done so, I suggest you to restart to refresh its performance and check the information that's specified on: Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

I have a Google pixel 2 and it has only happened once. I have not had a
chance to recreate what I saw yet.
