Galaxy S7 Edge

I just recently upgraded my phone from the Galaxay S3 to the Galaxy S7 Edge.  I had no clue that my FitBit Surge would not work with the S7.  I love my new phone and my fitbit so it would be really nice to be able to have them working in sync again.  Is there going to be an update anytime soon??  Anyone else hoping for an update like yesterday? Lol!

Hi there, so when I was setting up my fitbit blaze to my s7 it skipped the number code and still worked for a bit but now it won't transfer anything at all. Any tips that could help me?

Hi @Christopher9, welcome to the Community! Smiley Very Happy So in other words, were you able to set it up your Blaze to your Galaxy S7 Edge, right? If that is the case, can you please confirm if it is syncing and everything else?

@Vari how are you my friend? I can't confirm when this Samsung model will be compatible, but very soon it'll be on the compatible devices list. In the meantime, could you please tell me the phone you currently have? maybe is on the compatible devices list and you can set it up/sync your Charge 2 with it.

Catch ya' later guys!

Welcome to the Community @Vari! Oh! that sounds pretty great. We don't have this Android on the compatible devices yet, but I can suggest you to try to set it up/sync your tracker with it. I can't guarantee that is gonna work, however in your case it is awesome that it did! Now enjoy your tracker and its features.

Keep me posted with any update!

Can any of the people (2?) who claim their Galaxy S7/Edge is working with the Fitbit with no issues please explain how they enabled text and phone call notifications?

Here's a pic of what the version 2.33 screen looks like, you can use this for Step 1.

Any word yet when it will be compatible!? I just upgrade to an s7 edge from an iPhone 5s, love the new phone and love my fitbit but the app doesn't recognize my phone as a device to sync steps with 😞 and sometimes my fit bit syncs to my phone and other times not, I was really thinking I was getting the best of both worlds

YES! That is 100% correct, thank you so much.

I don't know if it works yet, but that was the correct menu option.

I have just upgraded to the samsung 7 edge and have been disappointed that the fitbit blaze does not connect. Is there anything I can do? Will I be able to return to curry's for a refund to exchange for a compatible device? Is fitbit doing anything to overcome the issue?

It works fine with my Fitbit Alta. Connect, sync, text/phone notifications.

If you read the forums, most of the complaints go back to March, it seems like for most users it's working. And for the ones it doesn't, sometimes they have to restart the app, or rarely the phone.

Although you may not want the Alta, it's very bare-bones.

But the Samsung 7/Edge still isn't listed as a compatible phone.

Hi guys! It is great to have all of you in the Community! Smiley Happy By now, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is not on the compatible devices list yet, however you can try to set it up/sync your tracker with it, and it might work, but I can't guarantee you that and I don't have an specific date for this phone model to be officially compatible. Now regarding the mobile track, that work with some Android devices, so as I mentioned above you can try.

Let me know the outcome!

Thanks for the update @firemanking33! It is great to hear that your tracker is now syncing with your Samsung Galaxy S7. As I mentioned, users can try to set it up their fitbit and might start syncing as we don't have official news saying that this model is compatible.

Happy stepping! Smiley LOL
