Any other mountain bikers out there use this combo?  Will the watch track my location record the trail and upload it to Strava?  Would be nice to not have to take my phone with me... When i start a ride do i just select bike ride on the watch?

Do i have to take my phone and start a ride on Strava and the watch will upload heart rate tracking and attach it to the Strava ride? Essentially that's all i really want, is the watch to be a heart rate tracker for the Strava app. Not interested in using the Fitbit app since friends are already on Strava

Once you connect your Strava account to Fitbit use your Charge 4 with its built in GPS. 

After a sync your GPS recorded bike ride will be sent over to your Strava Account. 

No phone needed if you use the Bike mode with GPS.
