Getting Errors when Trying to Install Apps on Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

When I am trying to install apps on my Fitbit versa, which is new, I continually get two messages back and forth of either "Error connecting with versa" or "App Configuration failed"

I have tried clearing the cache, it does nothing. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, which worked for the next 5 minutes and then the same messages showed up. I tried restarting my phone (Samsung S7) to no avail.

I cannot keep having to troubleshoot this everytime I want my Fitbit to sync, it makes it unusable... how do I fix this.

Hello @ella.s.

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing the steps that you have tried to get it to work.

In this case, I'd like to recommend that we try to move the app from the location it is uninstalled. To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Go into the application settings in your phone.
  2. There, look for the Fitbit app and tap on it.
  3. There, select the option to move the app to the phone's internal storage or an external drive, depending on what it is at this time.

After that it should stop having these issues when you are installing apps on your Versa.

Please keep me posted on how it goes or if you have any other questions.
