Suddenly I am no longer getting Google Hangouts notifications on my Flex 2, but I have had it set up to do this for almost a year. How can I fix this? I count on my Fitbit to notify me because my phone doesn't. Thanks!

Here are steps for figuring out notifications problems.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

The problem isn't that I am not receiving any notifications on my Fitbit at
all, the problem is that I am suddenly not getting notifications for Google
Hangouts specifically. It used to be the ONLY notification I got, and I
would like to go back to that. While trying to fix this problem I somehow
made it so that I am getting notifications I can't identify, but Hangouts
is still missing.
