I just started a new Group via the website, and it's not showing in my app at all. How long does it take to show up there?

Accepted Solutions

Hi there @BW3, nice to have new members in the Fitbit Community! In this case it doesn't. Note that activity groups are only available in the web-dashboard.

If you allow me, I will forward your post as feedback since I have seen other users who would like to see this feature in the mobile app. In addition If this is something in which you're interested, I think you can visit this feature suggestion and contribute with your vote and comments. This is a great way to let our developers know what you'd like to see in the future!

As an alternative you can create challenges in your mobile app to compete with your friends. For more details please take a look at this post: All About Challenges.

See you later and stay tuned to our Fitbit Community!

This has been requested for at LEAST three years, ridiculous that it hasn't been implemented yet. Some people don't even use a desktop anymore, everything is done via their mobile!!

Agreed.  Fitbit recently released group functionality for the mobile app, but it still isn't connected to the groups on Fitbit.com.  Please see my post here to comment or vote:

Dear FitBit dev team,

Really?

What IS the point of allowing users to create their activity groups if they can't access them on the app?

Best Answer

Why is this marked as "Solved" or "Accepted Solution"? The feature is still not in the app and the proposed solution is not the same as getting the custom group into the app.

Thanks!

I created a group on my phone but when I log into my account on computer the group does not show. Still have not found the  answer. Also the features of the group, such as leaderboard, do not work on the phone. So my group is there with members listed but unless I run a report and get info my email I cannot see the leaderboard

Hello, and great question. I am hoping the group I just joined will show up in the app. We learn it does not? For years? But the official Fitbit designed ones do show up, can this not be solved yet?  Is now March 2019.

Thank you & good stepping to all readers.

My group shows. Just nothing else. Can't see steps on members or other
info.

or visa versa: some people don't want to stand there all hunched back tapping on little keys on a phone and want to use a keyboard and full page. really ODD the two are not synced.

This is the most annoying piece of crap I've ever seen.  Can't see my app groups on the website, it's like they're two completely unrelated platforms.  You know why Microsoft, Google and Amazon products are so successful? Because the software is compatible across differing hardware.  We want to save our work in the office and take it on the subway with us, then finish it at home.  It's the age of convenience man.  You guys obviously aren't with it, you need some fresh blood in there with some new ideas.  If I join the "Strength Training" group on my phone, then when I go to  the website on my computer,  I SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE THAT GROUP.  It's really not that difficult.

Would be nice for those of us WITHOUT A WEB BROWSER to be able to search for groups within the app. So frustrating
