Having syncing issues on your Android phone? - Try this.

Every day or 3 I lose sync between my Ionic and my Android 9 phone. Rather than restart the Ionic and/or the phone - which sometimes may have to happen, I go into my phone settings>Apps and notifications>Fitbit and under storage I hit Clear Cache ( this may be an optional step?). I then back out and hit the FORCE STOP button in the app. Close and start the Fitbit app and then resync via the App. You may have to attempt a resync several times pulling the screen down to sync and/or under the Ionic setting hitting Sync Now.

As mentioned, several combinations of these two sync options may be necessary. But syncing should reestablish.

I'm sure there may be a similar procedure on an iphone to force stop the app. But I have no experience with that OS.

Thanks for your post and all the details that were shared in your post, it's nice to see you around posting the steps you took to resolve your syncing concern with your Android mobile device, the willingness to help is always appreciated here in the Community Forums. Because this is related to the Android operating system and users that are using other Fitbit devices can find your suggestions really helpful, I've moved your post to the Android board.
