Headt Rate not transferring all into to app

I use my Fitbit mostly to monitor my heat rate due to heat issues.  I'll see my heartrate spike on my fitbit, but when I go back later and look at my chart, the spikes are not recorded.  Ex today I've seen my heart rate in the 130s 140s, yet my chart in the app doesn't show it going above the 120s. I've double checked my heart rate on a blood pressure monitor and the high numbers are correct. Any idea why it's not  transferring to the app?

As I understand it the app will only register readings that hold for a certain amount of time and they are logged at certain intervals. Maybe every 15 minutes.

The recording taken during an exercise is more frequent and therefore shows more detail.

I'm sure one of the clever people here will explain this better for you.
