HealthConnect App not syncing steps from Samsung

I am attempting to sync data from Samsung to Fitbit using the  HealthConnect app.

In the HealthConnect app I have read right permissions for both Fitbit and Samsung, if I look at activity it appears both are doing read rights (screen shot).  However my Fitbit dashboard never updates with steps collected from Samsung.

Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hello @Stompers77 and welcome to the Community.  I moved your post to the Android app forum, a better fit for your issue.  I'm sorry, but I can't help you.

Thanks LZeeW!

Sorry for a neewbie question, how can I find it in the other forum?  I started in another forum and those mods directed me to FitBit, just trying to make sure I don't duplicate post if I ask somewhere else.

Thanks!

Hello @Stompers77

There's currently a service disruption with the Fitbit Web API according to the Fitbit Status Dashboard website. The service disruption description states: "Some users may notice data discrepancies or syncing issues between 3P apps and Fitbit. Our team is currently investigating the root cause of the issue."

Since the issue is on the Fitbit side, there's nothing that we can do. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before the problem is fixed and you see proper syncing again.

Hello @Strode2070

I'm not sure where Support is getting that information. I haven't seen an ETA for the fix and sure hope that it won't take that long.

Not sure as well. After talking in circles shared the status link and was told the 3 week answer, I sure hope it is sooner as well lol.

Was on chat support with "Lynn"

Hello @Stompers77

There was an app update for version 4.26.1 that recently rolled out. However, I've seen some users report that the update didn't fix the 3rd party app syncing issue.

FWIW, I saw a Moderator post from yesterday (02 Oct 2024) stating that an app update will be rolling out in the next few days. Please keep checking the Play Store for updates.

I really hope that this next update fixes the syncing issue.

Thanks,

Whoots!

I had to go into Health Connect in FitBit App and select for data to be
shown and data is starting to appear in my Dashboard!

I will monitor to see if everything comes over, but this is an awesome
development!
