Heart rate app recordings inaccurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

My Charge 3 is not saving accurate heart rates in my app. For instance, yesterday during my workout, my heart rate was 149 bpm at 3:20 p.m. I had the app open to make sure it captured this reading (see screenshot below), but when I opened the app immediately after my workout and again today, it shows 126 bpm at 3:20 p.m. (second screenshot below). The app shows 126 bpm as my max heart rate, which is below my cardio zone, so the app has effectively erased my workout. I went back and found this has happened several other times. Heart rate captured during exerciseHeart rate captured during exercise

Hello @Yayitselizabeth.

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing those screenshots.

In this case, I'd like to recommend that we try logging out of the app and then log back in. This will force the app to reload all details from the servers and should get the correct HR to be reflected on the graph.

Please keep me posted on how it goes or if there are any other questions on the matter.

Apologies for the delayed response.

On the day you provided the potential fix, I tried logging out and back into my account on the app and nothing changed. I tried this several more times in the following days with no success.

Additionally, over the last couple weeks I've been watching my heart rate during workouts on my watch and in the app and the app has NEVER once maintained the correct recordings after I've finished my workout.

Hi @Yayitselizabeth,  I was given to understand that in the general heart rate chart it shows the rate of ten minute periods. So your higher rate would only display there if it held at that level for ten minutes.

If you add the track exercise tile to your dashboard and open that, you can select a particular exercise and that can show the heart rate for that exercise. This is sampled more frequently so will most likely show higher peaks than the general chart.

May be worth a look.

Hello and thank you for the reply. I know how to use the workout tracking, but that is unfortunately not the problem I'm having here.

My higher heart rates are maintained for well over 10 minutes while I'm exercising and are not reflected in the records maintained on the app or the online dashboard. I'll be in the cardio or peak zone for 20–45 minutes while working out, but after I finish and the app syncs to the tracker, it erases that data and shows no exercise for the day, no time in cardio/peak zones and no accurate record of BPMs.

Hi @Yayitselizabeth,  sorry that was no use to you. Your disappearing data sounds very strange. I hope someone can help you.
