How can I add friends through contacts?

How can i add a friend to my fitbit if i dont have Facebook or they dont have an email. Ive tried adding them through contacts but its not showing anyone.. please help!!??

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Leah_95! If you're unable to find friends in the "Friends with Fitbit" list, remember this: your contacts must have an email address associated with their name in order to find them. If you're not seeing friends who are already in Fitbit is because they may have their Fitbit account associated with a different email address from the one you have in your phone contact list. Verify that you have their Fitbit email address correctly. 

 

If you're only seeing "Friends without Fitbit", or not yet on Fitbit, you'll need to tap "Invite" to ask these contacts to join Fitbit.com. If they accept, they will be added to your list. There are three ways to add Friends. Take a look at the article How do I connect with friends on Fitbit?
