Is there any way to add new foods to the Fitbit database?
When I use the barcode to scan food items, the app often reports that the item can't be found. It then says I can help Fitbit increase the food database by simply uploading a few photos. However, there's no way to do this - I can only exit the screen by hitting back on my Android phone.

I've moved your post to the Android forum, mainly because it is unrelated to your tracker.
I've have added food to the data base before and will try again tomorrow. Heading off to work now, but somebody here should be able to help
