How do I create an open group for the disabled?

Where are the Fitbit groups for the disabled? I created one but it's closed to the public. I have no disabled friends on Fitbit. I'd like to open my group called Limited Mobility? NO PROB to others that struggle to keep up with able bodied people.

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.

I've moved your post to the Android App board to keep the forums organized. Before anything else, let me explain that currently you can only create closed groups on the Community Feed section of the Fitbit app. That way, you can add your friends and family, share tips and message each other. To learn more about this, I'd recommend this help article.

I understand how good it'd be to have an open group for disabled people, and truly appreciate your feedback. Because open groups are created by our team, I'd recommend sharing this as an idea in the Feature Suggestions board so our developers can take it into consideration. You might also be interested in this other suggestion. I'm sure others will also vote for this great idea.

@DramaQueenDiva and @alexthecat Thanks for your help and heads up!

Hi @HRBenton,

Just letting you know I am flagging your post for moderator attention.  They would be the only ones who can shed some light on this.

@HRBenton it's not that kind of flag. It's just a request for a Moderator to visit this thread and share more information. All the moderators here are very friendly and helpful and so is @DramaQueenDiva

HRBenton that is very sad and I am truly sorry to hear that Fitbits own commentators don't communicate like they should and something like this slips through their cracks and then you are the actual one that has to pay for it. If you didn't get into any trouble that is a good thing, however they can't go around and be mind messing around with ppl. It's pretty sad you weren't doing anything wrong you were contacting Fitbit personal

Hi there, @Honesty830814.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Before anything else, let me explain that the flag option is available to all our members so you can share with us any post that may require some sort of attention. That way, any moderator can see the post and reply back accordingly. This is what @DramaQueenDiva did, as she wanted us to help our new friend with her question and provide her with the correct information.

I'm sorry if this caused any confusion and appreciate your feedback as this helps us to keep improving. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to let us know as I'm sure any member from the Community will be happy to help you.

Hi Rachel! I'm disabled and just bought the Charge 5 as well. I cannot run nor walk very much, but I'm going to be using it for the health features the most. How are you liking it?

Hi HRBenton! I am also disabled and would love to see an open group like your describing! To help boost the issue, I made a feature suggestion where @LizzyFitbit instructed too. I've seen other posts where people are talking about how they want the same thing, and for years, people have been asking for accessibility features. I am somewhat surprised Fitbit hasn't had an interest in being inclusive. (unless I've missed something?)

Hi there, @frillability.

I totally see where you're coming from about having this open group in the Fitbit app and I apologize for this inconvenience. Fitbit strives to improve our features and services, and the input we receive from our members is a big part of the process. Your feedback is appreciated and don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything else.
