Hey @MLStevens a warm welcome to the Forums! I've moved your post to this board, since I noticed that you are writing us from an Android device and here will get the appropriate attention.

As you may know, all Fitbit trackers are water-resistant, which means they are rain-proof and splash-proof and can stand up to even the sweatiest workout but we don't recommend swimming or showering with your tracker. However, you can log your swimming time by following these steps:

  1. On the Fitbit app dashboard tap the Exercise tile to open your exercise history. This is the tile that says "Track exercise" if you haven't worked out today. If you've already worked out, you'll see the exercise category on the tile instead (for example, Run or Hike).
  2. Tap the stopwatch icon in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Log Previous.
  4. Adjust the activity details and tap Log It.

Let me know if you have any other question, see you around! Woman Wink

My fitbit 2 says it is water resistant to 50 metres deep. I bought it for my swimming. I can choose "automatically detect swimming " which I have done.  If it can't do that it is of no use to me and Fitbit has falsely advertised. I am furious and I want my money back. What say you, fitbit?

Hi. I read your response  but what doesn't make sense to me is the last step about tracking my distance.  That's the whole point of wearing my fit bit while I swim, so it can log my distance in the pool.  Is that just a first time logging instruction? Thank you.
