Hello @Jas68, it's nice to see you ahve joined the Fitbit Community! I'm wondering which tracker do you own? I saw on your Community profile you have paired a Charge 2.
if this is correct try the following steps mentioned on this post. (You'll notice the scenario is different but the steps can be use for your case too).
Also let me know if you are using MobileRun from the Fitbit app or connected GPS from your tracker?
There are reports of a glitch in this portion of the app, where the map is not visible when there are connected GPS activities. If this is the case rest assure our teams are aware of this and are working to roll a fix in the future.
Hope this information helps. See you until the next time.

I assume that you are manually starting an activity that uses GPS, like running or walking, from your Fitbit tracker device. Is this correct?
Is your Fitbit using built-in GPS or your phones GPS?

GPS is only enabled for specific exercises, such as walking and running, and the GPS functionality is enabled in each individually. You ten have to manually start the exercise.
What kind of device are you using? Are you manually starting/stopping the exercise? What exercise profile are you starting? When you start the exercise do you see it get GPS lock?
