I recently had back surgery and do physical therapy twice a week. My surgeon wants me to eventually be at 10,000 steps so I'd like to be able to include that as well.

Welcome to the forums!
I do PT Exercises 2 times a day. To me it really is not worth counting. It may take me 10 minutes to do but they are all low impact and really do not burn a lot of calories.I have used my devices in work out mode and the most I burn is 27-30 calories.
Not knowing the device you have you could try the workout mode on yours as well

Welcome to the Forums @jmattjake and @WendyB thanks for stopping by.
There isn't an option to log physical therapy but you can log the activity "Walk" by doing the following from your Android Fitbit app:
1. Tap the "+" icon.
2. Tap Track Exercise.
3. Enter Walk.
4. Enter your information.
5. Tap Log it.
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome.

I recently had back surgery as well. I work hard in PT and sweat the whole time. I’m not sure what exercises you do, but I track mine as circuit training, because that’s basically what I’m doing.
As for walking, I use the MapMyWalk app, as it syncs with Fitbit.
Hope me that helps!

Hi
Using interval workout for P.T. exercises with move set to 10 sec repeat set to 10 times rest removed.
My fitbit vibrates every 10 sec 10 times great for counting out exercises only problem is I have to restart the app every time I go to the next exercise. Wish I could just push the play button again to start the next exercise. Is there a better app for P.T type exercise?

You could use different apps that track physical therapy. I mean there should be at least 3 that do it. You have to search on the internet.

You have to visit therapeutic. That's the only solution.

Your steps are automatically tracked throughout the day. The steps history is available in the app and the web dashboard. You can track any walking done specifically for PT as either a walk or workout. Your step totals for each day will be unchanged, but you can see how many steps you did during specific "PT sessions". However, for some reason, you cannot view a history of stats for a specific exercise (Hello, Fitit!!!!!!!).
