How do I turn off cardio load notification tile?

ANSWERED

A notification tile keeps popping up on the Today screen 1+ times an hour. The data is useless to me as I already display it graphically in the top section. I no longer even read it, just click the x. How do I turn it off?

I attempted to add a screen shot, that then flagged an error.

Thank you for any help and have a Terrific day!

Hello @md57 & @CarolPNW

As far as I know, there isn't a way to completely turn off the Cardio Load feature.

Please submit feedback using the Feedback option in the Fitbit app

  • Tap your picture in the upper right of the Today page in the Fitbit app
  • Select Feedback in the menu that opens
  • Complete the prompts and submit

Although it's likely that you won't receive a reply, the team receives & reviews the feedback reports.

You can also submit a feature request to completely disable Cardio load in the Product Feedback forum (<-- click link). I understand that the developers monitor this forum to see what features are being requested for potential future implementation.

After you submit your feature request, please consider replying to this thread with a link to the request so that other users can add their vote & comments.

Cardio load was introduced to this version. I am totally uninterested, this isn't why I bought a Fitbit. I have disabled the tile, in fact everything under Activity is disabled. And yet I am constantly bombarded with cardio load "hints" which are really annoying! How do I turn off this "feature" I didn't ask for.

Best Answer

Press the pencil symbol on the today screen.. scroll down to cardio load.. uncheck and hit save

Thanks Carol. Tried that but every time I open the app there's a popup tile saying "ready to hit your target"or similar. Can be dismissed by tapping the cross.

I have it too.. didn’t seem to work either with the unchecking

Turns out there is already very active product feedback on this issue. It didn't show in my search of the Android forum but your link let me find and vote to have this behaviour remedied. Thanks.

Hi everyone, and thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I understand how frustrating this can be and appreciate your efforts while working on this. I wanted to let you know that this has been forwarded to our team for further investigation. Rest assured that I'll update this thread as soon as I have more information from them.

@RiekoC Thanks for your help!

It will still keep popping up every time you refresh. Close it and it will be right back even if you have it turned off.

This constant notification is stressful and disruptive to my workouts.  I might be interested in the scores it provides but absolutely not the on screen constant pop up!  So far the scoring not helpful in my opinion so if I need to delete it from my app altogether to get away from disruptive notifications, I’m fine with that.  Just make it stop!

Hi there, @Marvin_White and @nancy.dansereau.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I understand your point of view about getting that notification and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. As I mentioned before, our team is aware of this issue and they're working on a fix.

At this time I don't have further updates to share, but I'll keep our team informed of the impact to all our members.

There needs to be a way to turn off the constant notifications. The reminders are not useful & don't correspond to workout/rest days.

Hello @Oly63

You can add your vote & comments to this feature request to allow users to move/delete the Cardio Load prompt (<-- click link).

That does not remove the prompt.  Mine is toggled off and I still get annoying prompt and have to X it closed.  It must have been designed by the same person who thought the cyber truck was a great idea

------

We would all really appreciate it if they fixed this. I'm sure cyber truck owners feel the same frustration everytime it snows, as Fitbit users do

------

If only we could delete it. It won't delete.

Yeah these popups are super annoying. For me it it warns about overtraining every time I do even an easy workout. This is totally out of sync with the high cardio fitness score the app is reporting. So now I just laugh at the warnings and enjoy making the app freak out.

I figured out how to turn off the cardio notifications!  Go to account settings, your data in Fitbit, deletion options, cardio fitness score, delete all cardio fitness score data!   I’ve been doing this for six weeks and it resets to the point where it needs 10 to 14 days to build up enough to start Annoying notifications on main screen.  I repeat this process immediately and I’m free for another 10 to 14 days!  Best case until they fix this!

We're now at the end of February, and these annoying popups are still with us.  They started in early December, and the complaints from users started immediately.  What is taking so long to write a simple software fix that would provide an on/off switch for these popups?  I've been a Fitbit user since 2014, and I'm now ready to consider Garmin or Apple for my next device.  That's how annoying this is!

This is great advice!

What a foolish bug / bad feature to need to use this workaround.
