How do change Alta screen from km to steps

My screen on my watch shows km walked.  But how do I change it to steps?

Are you sure it's not showing steps? When the Alta display is in portrait mode there isn't enough room to show the full step count so it has to abbreviate it. E.g. 2500 steps will show as 2.5k
