I am wondering this because I am thinking of switching the app from my tablet to my phone. Also do you know if the camera on my lg Journey phone is compatible with the app? My Samsung galaxy tab E isn't and that is also why I am thinking of switching it over to my phone.

Thanks for stopping by, @Newfitkitty. I appreciate the information provided @Odyssey13 😀.
The Fitbit app takes 267MB of internal space in my Android phone. As @Odyssey13 said, after you've confirmed that your new phone has the requirements to install and run the Fitbit app, you will need to grant permissions to the Fitbit app to access to your phone's camera.
Hope this helps!

This isn't a complete answer. My app shows the app size as 239 MB, but user data is 2.45 GB. What???!!! That's an insane amount of data. Why is this? I think this software must be incredibly bloated. I don't even think my entire life history, if entered as data, would take up 2.45 GB. This is LITERALLY almost 10% of my internal storage. Absolutely the largest app allocation, more than double the next app on my phone. Fitbit needs to fix this, or give us an option to remove a bunch of this "data".

@Tiabnogard another member had the same problem. Go to this post - click - and follow the directions from the Fitbit Moderator. It helped the other person. Let us know what happens with you.

Hi @Tiabnogard
The Fitbit app saves your preferences and cache to load faster every time that you open it like the other apps on your Android phone. You can clear that data to free some space on your phone's storage, but this will clear your settings and preferences for the app as explained here. Your information like steps, distance, sleep, etc won't be erased.
See you around.

Hello @BraulioFitbit,
@Tiabnogard says the 2.45GB is USER data, not cache as per your explanation.
I don't have such huge data amount (around 250 MB in my case for USER data and just 7MB for cache) so I agree with @Tiabnogard that there is something wrong

App is 646MB on my S9+. That's app, not data or cache. Google Play says it's something around 90MB when installing it. O.6 GB seems ludicrous. I use the free version. Maybe they'd give me some memory back if I paid them?

Hello everyone!
@Cp1947 Welcome to the forums. Thanks for sharing your own experience with the Fitbit app and the memory it uses. I checked mine and it is true, it take 599MB. However, inspecting in detail shows the following:
It all depends on how much content you load or have loaded so far on the Fitbit app. There are some video and audio sessions. Some may be stored in order to be ready for next time. I reviewed the Google Play Store and I could not find any detail regarding the amount of memory it will take. Where do you find that information? Thanks in advance, this piece of information may be outdated.
Have a nice day!

FYI @Cp1947 647MB rounds out to 0.6GB
Cache can be deleted at any time without affecting anything.
Deleting data will log the user out
App 473mb
Data 483.5
Cache 231mb
Average memory use 142mb

I'm enclosing a screen shot of Fitbit app storage. Seems like everyone has a different size Fitbit app. My device is a Samsung Galaxy S9+.
