How to create a custom food on the app?

Im getting fed up with this and am about to delete the fitbit app and stop using the fitbit device.

I want to add for example a custom food lets say I want to call it "Sunday Roast". I want to then be able to add all of the lovely things I have in my usual Sunday Roast lunch and do this only once so that on a Sunday when I log food I just need to type Sunday Roast and the app remembers or finds everything I have listed.
Currently the only way I can do this is to add each individual thing I have on my plate separately in the app which is very frustrating to me and a waste of my time to be quite frank.

If anyone one has a solution this I would be very grateful to hear it

I see where your disappointment is coming from. In order to log the "Sunday Roast", create a "Meal" which will contain all the things that you usually have on this lunch, after this, just log it and it will be added to your daily totals. 

 

  1. From the fitbit.com dashboard, click Log at the top, then click Food.
  2. In the Favorites section on the right, click the Meals tab.
  3. Click Create a meal, then name your meal and click Save.
  4. In the Add Foods section that appears, add an individual ingredient and click Add to Meal.
  5. When you're done adding ingredients, click I'm done - Back to Food at the bottom.

Please follow the instructions posted above to create a Meal, take into consideration that this can only be done from the online Dashboard.

Thank you. The instructions helped me create a couple of "Meals" so I no longer have to search for each ingredient individually.

cannot login any more, so cannot create any meals, this feature was so useful when we had access to the Windows app, but as it has been discontinued , we the users have lost so much useful content.

@jh60 Nice to see you again in the forums. Thanks for your post about the creation of a meal in your account and that you cannot log in. Do you mean you can't log in uaing the Windows app or you cannot log into your account in general?

Please note that it is possible to create a meal on the Fitbit.com website as well. Here you have the instructions: How do I log a meal?. You can then log that meal in future occasions.
