Is there a way to turn off auto tracking of exercise on the mobile app?
the reason I ask is that My Versa 4, when I start an exercise manually on the watch, will stop the exercise and the phone will pick it up. which is not what I want, because sometimes the phone doesn't pick it up and stops the watch anyway.
thanks

Hi, @SteveButts, welcome. In the Fitbit app on your phone touch your icon in the top right>Activity & Wellness>exercise>under auto recognise exercises touch each in turn> put the slider in the top right into the off position & SAVE>repeat as desired. Return to the Today screen & sync.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

@Gr4ndp4 Thanks for your help.
@SteveButts Thanks for reaching out about the auto exercise tracking with your Versa 4. Your situation is not that clear to me. I have some questions. Does this mean that the manually started exercise will be stopped by the device itself? Automatic exercise logs will not interfere with manually started activities. The activites we start directly on the device have priority. Note that only the Fitbit device will track exercises automatically, not the smartphone. What type of activity are you performing? Does this happen with every exercise type?
Please try restarting your Versa 4 (click here) and keep an eye on the Versa 4 during your next training. Thanks in advance!

Hi
Ok, that would make sense, however I have this happening and cannot work out what's going on.
here's what i've tried:
restart watch, reset watch to factory, restart app, reset app, reinstall app, reconnected watch to app after each reinstall/reset.
all auto settings are turned off for all exercises, on phone and watch
start walking/cycling (I only do these two), get someway into my exercise and it just stops. have to restart the exercise again to continue tracking (which is a little tricky when cycling) nothing from the watch to say that it's stopped.
however, I have noticed that when I power off/disconnect bluetooth the watch will behave and track the exercise completely.
I walked last night, and even after turning off the settings that @Gr4ndp4 suggested, my walk was stopped after 12 minutes, when I noticed, I powered off my phone and restarted the exercise from the watch, it tracked me until i had completed my walk.
i did wonder if it was my coat, so i will try later this week with a different coat. i very much doubt that it will be that, but worth a try.
thanks
Hi, i've still got the same issue, should I raise it as a support call?
when the phone and the watch are connected, it stops and starts the exercise a number of times, and when it's not connected it works perfectly.
thanks
