How to stop in-app notifications?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Every time I open the app, I have a red symbol of notifications.  When I check, it is almost always saying that a friend "posted for the first time in a while! Check it out!"  I have 200 friends; I don't want to know every time they happen to make a post somewhere in the community - it has nothing to do with me! Please tell me I can turn this off!  Thanks in advance, Fitbit community!

@KK1960Walks Hi there. Thank you for the details mentioned.

I understand why you'd like to turn them off. Follow the instructions below to turn them off:

- Go to the Fitbit app

- Tap on Account

- Scroll down until you find "Notifications"

- Turn off the Social Feed

Hope this helps.

Thanks Silvia but this doesn't help at all. I have had Social Feed turned off for at least a year.  Still get the notifications CONSTANTLY from the app.  I have Android (Samsung galaxy S10e).  Any other ideas???   Kathy

@KK1960Walks Thank you for getting back. I appreciate that you mentioned this is turned off.

Just wanted to clarify that even when these notifications are turned off and you don't receive them in your phone notifications, when the app opens, you'll still see when a friend posts for the first time in a while.

If you'd like that this could be turned off, feel free to post in our Feature Suggestion board, those are reviewed by our team and the status will change depending on Fitbit plans.

Have a nice day.
