How to track minimum pace and distance intervals

Hi guys, I have a fitbit ionic and my phone is android. I would like to know if any of these two things are possible for my running trainings:

1 - Configure a minimum pace and be alerted with vibration or sound when I am slower than it. For example I configure a 4:50 mins per km and whenever I am slower than that I am alerted.

2 - Sometimes when I train I do: 400 meters fast, 200 meters slow, 400 meters fast, 200 meters slow, and on. How can I configure the watch to be alerted after the first 400 mts, after the next 200 mts, etc.

Many thanks 🙂

I would like to know the same thing. On my Surge it would buzz at every mile mark and I can't find anything with the ionic to do that. Would be nice.

edit: Please see comment from sfringer, problem solved!

@DrSteak46 you should be able to configure exercise cues in the web dashboard.

From the dashboard, click the gear icon and choose your Ionic.

Scroll down to Exercise Cues and expand that section. You can set the various cue details there.

These should get passed to the Ionic on your next sync.

You can also set lap settings within the Exercise app on the Ionic directly.

Open the Exercise app on the Ionic.

Choose the Run exercise and click the gear icon.

Set "Show Laps" to automatically.

Tap "Automatic Lap Settings" to set the type and distance.

Note, both of these options require that you launch your run from the Exercise app to get the notifications.

Thanks Sfringer. That's something, but doesn't let you configure intervals based on distance! I mean different distance for each interval, like: 400 mts, 100 mts, 400 mts, 100 mts, etc

thanks!

@Kero yes, I know my comment did not address your interval issue. My reply was specific to @DrSteak46's comment about how the Surge buzzed at every mile and the Ionic is not providing the same functionality.

A similar issue here.

Phone: Moto G3, Android 6.0.1.

Fitbit Charge 2. Purchased and set up today. (father's day!)

I have set up on the web dashboard an exercise of intervals, 1' on and 4' off. Basically I just want it to tell me when to go and stop.

However, this isn't showing as an option when I go Track Exercise --> only run, walk, hike appear.
