How to track running pace in Android app while using GPS

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

In the Web portal, there is a nice view where I can see the GPS track on a map view and then below it I can see a detailed pace.  As you move the cursor, you can see where you were on the map and your pace at that location.

I read a post where the web portal view is going to be shutdown soon.  This is one piece of functionality that I have not seen on the Android app.  Is there a way to get a similar view on the app?  There is a pace view on the app but it is very coarse to say the least ...

I hope you get an answer here, but if not,

I suggest you ask that in the original thread announcing that the web dashboard is going away.
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Fitbit-com-Dashboard/Fitbit-com-web-dashboard-is-transitioning-to-th...
It specifically said "Please let us know if there is anything you need help finding in the Fitbit app, and we’ll be happy to help you."

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I checked the original thread, and there was a similar ask which I upvoted.  This is a noticeable gap and something I use regularly on the web

Good for you.  I should have checked that as carefully as you did before I replied here.

@DaveHoover you can't do it in the app. This isn't supported.

OK, that is what I thought.  What I would like to see if Fitbit acknowledging this and have a plan to add this feature to the app before they retired the web view.

@DaveHoover there is no pace chart in the app at all. Even if there was, the layout would need to be change to see map and pace chart at the same time. Now, it took several months to bring back seconds to the duration of exercise. Unlikely that Fitbit will introduce a lot more complex feature within a few weeks that left (and we still wait for HR chart to bring back max HR). No, this isn't going to happen.

@Triletics  I agree totally unlikely, but the announcement did say to let them know of whatever you couldn't find in app, so, although realizing this is not going to happen, I still think it is not worthless to let them know that what they are taking away does have value to people; as I guess this particular has already been brought up in the original announcement post.
