How to track steps without a Fitbit device and MobileTrack

Hi!

I am currently not using a Fitbit tracker after it broke and I have also unpaired MobileTrack, because it was very inaccurate and often didn't sync any steps for weeks. How can I see my steps without a tracker?

Hi @meriliis  there is no way for you to count steps without a Fitbit or using mobile track. You might want to check for sales on Fitbit devices and get one.

Hi!

I have another device and app for counting my steps, but I would still like to see my step counts history in Fitbit.

Ok if you still have your Fitbit account, you can manually enter those steps as an activity - ie: a walk. You try that?

Thank you for quick response. I can log a walk of x km in Fitbit, but I still can't see the daily step count that I'm interested in. I know I can't track my steps with Fitbit without a tracker, but I still have steps from the past that I would like to have access to.

Your history is kept on the Fitbit servers and unless you delete your account, it should still be there. I'm not sure about seeing the daily steps but it should show them as you add them to your data.

Hello @meriliis I'll rephrase what @Odyssey13 has mentioned.

Fitbit will show you what data Fitbit is currently able to record on you. This gets carried over to your displayed history. Why? I have know idea, but if the broken tracker was still connected step history would be viewable.

When it comes to accuracy, most arm based trackers are only accurate when on a walk or run.

When it comes to mobile track. The best place for the phone is clipped to the waist a little in front of one behind the hip bone and it will be more accurate around the house than an arm based tracket.
