I would like to use the Fitbit app on my phone to track my walks while my Fitbit Surge is out of commission. I read somewhere that is possible...but, when I tap on the "plus" icon in my app, my only choice is to add another Fitbit device or delete the one I have. Any suggestions?

Hi @AnitaJMoody,
When you go to add a device, you should be able to add one called Mobile Track, which is what you need to track exercise when you're not wearing the tracker. Here's an article with more details for you.

I updated the Fitbit app on my phone (a new ZTE MAX DUO LTE) and the option that you described (Mobile Track) is not available. There is a very simple Google app that measures steps, so I am surprised that is not an option in Fitbit.

Sorry but the suggested solution did not work with my Surge. I added a Fitbit Flex 2, and I was able to see a map. BUT, after saving my exercize session, the map disappeared...oh, well...
