I've had a Fitbit Web account for eight years, and I just downloaded the Android app today in anticipation of receiving a new tracker.
I signed into the app with my existing account, and I have hundreds of notifications in the app, congratulating me for things I did last year, before I had the app. (Thanks?)
Please tell me there is a way to delete these notifications so they stop taking up memory.
Thank you.

Welcome to the Forums @AprilNorCal.
Thanks for bringing this up. I'd like to take a closer look at what is going on.
Could you share a screenshot of where the notifications are showing? Is it inside of the app itself or on your phone's screen?
Look forward to your reply.

Thank you.
The notifications appear in the notifications section of the app, please see attached photo.

Hello @AprilNorCal.
Thanks for sharing that picture and for your quick reply.
In this case, the notification center will display the latest 100 notifications. This would explain why you are seeing very old notifications in there. This is the way the app is intended to work.
If you'd like the option to delete notifications, perhaps you could vote for this suggestion about that. While it is listed as not currently planned, you can still vote for it to show your support. Be sure to also read the FAQ to better understand how that board works.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your response.
If the app is intended to display the latest 100 notifications, then the app is NOT working as intended. I have hundreds of notifications from 2017 and 2018, not just 100. How do I know? I counted them so I could provided an accurate response on this thread. (I stopped counting when I reached 150 notifications, although scrolling displayed many more.) As explained above, these notifications are for events that happened before I downloaded the app.
This is the only app I have ever encountered that does not allow its users to delete notifications. I took your suggestion and voted for the pro-deletion suggestion in the other thread. Customers have been requesting this ability for years.

@AprilNorCal They will go away when you build up your current notifications on the 30 day rule where they will be automatically deleted..
A glitch from the Fitbit servers. It happened to me just over a month ago... Now my PC and App agree...
My reaction was "memories",and another glitch.. You joined 3 months after me.....

I have had been using the app and the new fitbit for over a month, and the notifications from 2017 and 2018 are NOT being automatically deleted. They are still taking up storage space on my phone.

I know this is an old post but I was able to delete one notice at a time. Hold for a second then at the bottom of the screen it says delete, click it. There are hundreds dating back 4 years! I want do delete them all at once. Is there a way to do this?

Nice to see you here, @Leslieinlakelan.
Currently you can delete one notification at a time as you did since the Fitbit app doesn't have the option to delete all the notifications at once.
See you around.
