I'm connected to internet, but Gallery won't open??

Whenever I try to open the Gallery to update an app or change my clock face, it tells me I'm not connected to the internet. This happens both on data and WiFi. I've also tried it on a my Versa 2 and older Versa 1 and it's broken on both. How can I fix this issue?? (I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G with Android 12.)

Your phone is blocking access to gallery. Try these steps in "Phone Settings"

  • Connections → More Connections  → VPN
  • If any VPN is listed, remove it, or set it to "none"
  • Connections → More Connections  → Private DNS
  • Set it to "Automatic", or "None"

Restart your watch. For instructions, see How do I restart my Fitbit device? Go back to the Fitbit app and try again to add a Wi-Fi network. If you see other networks appear in the list of available networks, but not your preferred network, move your watch closer to your router.

Hi @EFras - as @LokeAa says. On recent Samsung devices they have taken to installing Private DNS which stops the Gallery accessing the Fitbit servers because it needs some Google analytics which are refused. Disabling that option will fix it.
