Lets say you bought a blue car made by the same people who make the Fitbit Android app.
One day, a few months later, you go outside, and you see a red car where your blue car used to be. After some examination, you find out that it's your car, but it's been painted red overnight.
So you go on the Fitbit Community board and say, "hey, my car is red now, but I liked the blue that I bought. What's going on?"
Someone gets back to you from Fitbit support and says, "Our market research indicated 60% of our users would like red, so we changed it."
You say, "Maybe some users do, but I don't. How do I get it back?"
Their response is, "Well, you have to suggest that as an option, and if enough people vote on it, then maybe we'll create that option."
So, you have to beg the community to have enough votes just to get the product that you originally bought, and even if that happens, there's no guarantee the developers will act on it before developing yet more new features you may or may not want.
And if that's not how Fitbit approaches its interface development, then please tell me how I shut off "Fitbit Insights" forever.

They weren't part of the app when I first purchased my device, so they are not a part of what I signed on for.
If people like them, fine. I should just be able to turn them off. When they pop up, I click to dismiss them without reading, and it's just extra steps in using the app that add zero value to me.

Hi @Dave_M_G insights are part of the app, just as the ads you mentioned in another post are part of the app.
