I just woke up and Fitbit is saying I lost over 600 calories in the last 45 min of barley taking any steps. This can't be accurate in the least.

Hi @MrGreen315 - you burn calories all the time even when sleeping and the app tries to estimate them based on your stats during the night if syncing properly or by default.

Hi, @MrGreen315, welcome, @Guy_  is spot on, you may be interested in How does my Fitbit device calculates my daily activity. , there's a section on "calorie burn". When you enter age, height & gender in the setup process it calculates your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), any activity you engage in generates an additional figure for your daily calorie budget. In the "Nutrition" tile on your Fitbit app - "Today - under budget" touch "learn more" to see a detailed explanation of how your calorie allowance is managed throughout the day.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
